Bloor Homes’ Midlands region is delighted to announce that two of its site managers, Clive Vickers and Nick Schofield, are winners of the Pride in the Job Quality Award 2022.
The awards, dubbed ‘the competition that all site managers want to win’, were given to Clive Vickers for his role in the Bloor Homes at Penkridge development, while Nick Schofield was awarded for his work at Bilbrook Mill in Bilbrook.
From 8000 entrants, only 443 were successful in this first round, meaning the technical expertise, attention to detail and leadership skills of these site managers are among the top 5% across the United Kingdom.
The judging of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards is a rigorous process, and site managers have been continually assessed against high standards since July 2021.
As site manager for Bloor Homes at Penkridge, a stunning development boasting 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes, Clive said: “I feel incredibly proud to have the work that myself and my team have completed recognised by such a respected organisation. It comes after a year of hard work and dedication to the site. I would like to thank the Bloor team at Penkridge for all their support and we hope to maintain this high standard of housebuilding in the future.”
Awarded for his work at Bilbrook Mill, Nick said: “To be recognised as one of the top 5% in my profession has got to be one of the pinnacles in my working career and to achieve this in my 25th year of working for Bloor Homes has been one of my career highlights. I am extremely fortunate to work alongside a dedicated team who share my ethos in producing a quality home whether it being a 1-bed maisonette or 4-bedroom family home, we aspire to bring the same standard to all.”
All Quality Award winners will go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards, with the winners announced this Autumn.
Commenting on this year’s awards, NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood said: “At NHBC we believe that the calibre of the site manager and the way they inspire their site team has the greatest influence on the quality of the finished home. Congratulations to all the 2022 Pride in the Job Quality Award winners. They are an inspiration to us all and should be very proud of the quality of new homes they are creating.”
Overall 12 Bloor Homes site managers across the country were awarded regional Pride in the Job Quality Awards.
