Widely recognised and supported local charity, previously known as Helping Angels Charitable Association, announces re-brand to Project INDI following further commitment to supporting the local community with their growing support offering.

The charity has recently re-launched the INDI Club in Sneyd Green, a community centre focused on providing a safe space with additional needs and offering free support to children and families. The charity also runs Café INDI at the Pavilion, where the charity has been championing being a diverse and inclusive employer, providing equal opportunities for people across the city.

The charity first began in 2018, providing day opportunities and activities for those who required additional support, finding themselves isolated or alone following the loss of their support system, or unable to attend other services due to budget cuts.
Now, Project INDI’s key offering is day opportunities and social groups for those with additional needs, enabling them to socialise in a safe way that appeals to and supports their specific needs. This offering has grown into full community support, which includes free school holiday activities, SEND sessions for children and young people, inclusive work placements, community events, and now private venue hire and catering.

Working with local organisation Strategi Solutions, the re-brand has had involvement from those who use the services, ensuring that the Charity was representative of the people that it wants to engage, and has emerged with a new look that will stand the test of time.

CEO, Natasha Gratton said, “I am thrilled that we can officially announce our change to Project INDI. This name change signifies so much, it represents our core values, inclusion and diversity, but most of all it demonstrates our aim to better support the community that we operate in.”
“This has been a long time coming and I am so thrilled with the result. We want to move away from the old version of day care and focus on building inclusive communities where everyone has a place in society!”
