Riviera Travel have announced that Rob Snelson has been appointed into a newly-created Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role.
Rob will take responsibility for Riviera’s business technology strategy, which will include developing company growth initiatives and change management. He will report to Phil Hullah, Chief Executive Officer.
Before joining the Burton-on-Trent-based river cruise and escorted tour specialist, Rob held several senior technology positions, including as CTO at Travel Counsellors for five years. Prior to joining Riviera he was CTO at NRS Healthcare, a clinical services and equipment provider.
Rob said: “I am very excited to be joining Riviera Travel. Technology is a critical enabler of any business strategy and the Riviera IT team will play a key part in the ongoing success of the company. I look forward to supporting my IT and business colleagues with their aims and ambitions when I join later this year.”
Phil Hullah said: “I’m delighted Rob will join us as our new CTO. He brings a wealth of experience, both in technology transformation and from his years working in the travel trade. Technology will play a critical role in the evolution and growth of our business and Rob’s appointment will help us support these ambitions.”

Rob will start at Riviera in December.
