FBC Care Homes Limited, which was formed in 1996 but has been a family-run partnership since 1989, comprises two CQC rated ‘Outstanding’, purpose-built care homes; Cherry Holt and Branthwaite.
Branthwaite Care Home is registered to accommodate up to 40 service users who require residential care and mental health support. It specialises in Dementia Care and has held the Dementia Quality Mark Accreditation from Nottinghamshire County Council for several years. Cherry Holt Care Home is registered to accommodate up to 52 service users who require residential or nursing care for the elderly. Both homes are located in Retford, Nottinghamshire, one of the oldest market towns in England.
Following a confidential sale, the business has been purchased by Knights Care Ltd.
Previous owner, Mr Rak Sooriah, comments, “It has been an honour and a privilege to have served the Retford community and surrounding villages for 33 years now. My parents started the business in 1989 and since then we have all committed to giving 100 per cent dedication to delivering the best possible standards of care we can for our residents. As a family, we have taken the very hard decision that, after 33 years of service, the time has come to hand over the reins of both Cherry Holt and Branthwaite.”
Lee Howard, Regional Director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, comments, “It has been a real privilege to act on behalf of FBC and the Sooriah family. Over the years we have watched them grow into one of the most successful care operators in the Midlands, with a real focus on providing high-quality care which has delivered the pinnacle of CQC ratings for both homes.”
FBC Care Homes Ltd was sold for an undisclosed price.
