A leading charity which raises vital funds for research into head and neck diseases has appointed a new director to lead its team.

Danni Heath has been named the new charity director of Birmingham-based Get A-Head by its trustees.

Danni brings with her a wealth of experience working with charities, social enterprises and businesses including roles in leadership, organisational design as well as in marketing and communications.

She has over 20 years of experience in helping organisations meet their goals and driving impact for stakeholders and beneficiaries.

She is a director of CEmPac Europe – the Centre for Empowering Patients and Communities – providing expertise in person-centred care, and also a director of Heath Brown Ltd for more than a decade, offering strategic people-focussed solutions for social enterprises of all shapes and sizes.

Danni, from Churchdown in Gloucestershire, has helped set up and run a number of social businesses – including two of her own – and works at both strategic and operational levels to achieve success.

Tom Bromwich, chairman of the trustees at Get A-Head, said: “We are delighted that Danni has chosen to join us. We are poised now to accelerate the growth and development of our charity and Danni’s experience means she can play a critical role in setting us up for the next phase of growth and next chapter for our charity.”

Danni said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Get A-Head Charitable Trust at an exciting moment for the charity. I’m looking forward to spending time with the team of trustees as well as with other key stakeholders – notably patients and beneficiaries whom we are here to support.”

Danni will join the Get A-Head Charitable Trust on February 6 2023.
