Leading corporate finance specialist, Steve Thornhill has launched Protect It, a new business specialising in the supply of high performing anti-covid disinfectants and sanitising solutions.
Thornhill, who has worked for the likes of BDO and Palletways Group in the Midlands and is currently a non-executive director for Trimite Global coatings which has operations in Redditch and Birmingham, has created Protect It on the back of acquiring the sole distribution rights in the UK for ShieldMe. The leading disinfectant and sanitiser brand is capable of eradicating 99.99% of viruses and bacterial on surfaces in the commercial, industrial and domestic environments.
Thornhill said: “Whilst many enterprises have popped up during the last 18 months in response to Covid, my aim is to create the number one trusted disinfectant brand for beating the coronavirus, the many expected variants that it could give rise to and other viruses in workplaces up and down the country in order to help keep UKplc running during such turbulent times.
“Whilst businesses are still adapting since coming out of lockdown, they will all need to get used to the new norm and the need to safeguard the health and wellbeing of their own colleagues as well as customers and supply chain partners. Despite the new world in which all employers are operating, we want to make it ‘business as normal as possible’ with our range of solutions.”
He added: “Protect It will focus on business markets where organisations are still very much open for business and there are high levels of physical interaction between staff and with customers. We are particularly targeting the likes of car and commercial vehicle rental companies, motor traders, care homes, leisure markets, places of worship, the logistics sector and the public transport market.
“Our fast-acting products, which minimize downtime are ideal for these high physical interaction sectors.
“There is no doubt that coronavirus in one form or another is here to stay and it’s crucial that businesses respond to its sustained threat by putting their staff and customers first at all times.”
The ShieldMe disinfectant, which is distributed via a range of foggers, dispenser towers and sprays, is fast acting. Importantly, because it does not contain alcohol, it is also non-irritating to the skin, non-flammable and eco-friendly.
