West Midlands 5G (WM5G) has launched a fully-funded two-day programme to help businesses in the Black Country and Coventry & Warwickshire regions fast-track their e-commerce skills, and ensure they have the skills to thrive as the country faces potential economic downturn.
Ideal for creators, solopreneurs and small businesses interested in boosting their online sales presence, the ERDF-funded programme takes place on 16 and 17 November, and is open to all qualifying SME businesses in the Coventry & Warwickshire area.
Delivered online, each day of the programme includes a range of speakers, topics and compelling content, setting out why it is important to stay ahead with all things e-commerce, including the latest on selling on Amazon and Instagram, masterclasses in social media selling and inside knowledge on how local entrepreneurs succeeded and the lessons they learnt.
Participants will also learn about the importance of good branding, the various website platforms available, and how to use immersive and AI technologies to improve customer experience.
Lesley Holt, Director of Acceleration & Adoption at WM5G, said: “Entrepreneurs, small businesses and those considering launching their own business face many challenges in the current economic climate. This programme will support them to get ahead and supercharge their online presence, helping futureproof their business.
“The programme is designed to drive adoption and advancement of technology and connectivity, with programme content designed to be interactive and delivered in a supportive environment.”
WM5G has supported over 500 businesses over the past three years through their SME accelerators and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) programmes, upskilling and driving innovation, with over 60 start-ups to-date having developed new products and services responding to local innovation challenges.
The E-commerce programme is interactive, using break-out workshops and collaborative exercises to help develop business owners’ and employees’ skills. At the end of the two days, participants will have developed an action plan to implement in their own business.
