Leading European law firm, Fieldfisher, has strengthened its employment law offering with the appointment of Anna Youngs.

Joining from Clarke Willmott, where she was a Partner, Anna joins Fieldfisher as a Practice Development Lawyer within Fieldfisher’s European employment, pensions, immigration and compliance group (EPIC). She will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office, acting as central hub of knowledge, operating globally to support the firm’s clients on a wide range of employment-related matters.

Having spent her career in the West Midlands, Anna brings a wealth of experience to Fieldfisher, with a career focused on advising employers on various employment law matters, including outsourcing, TUPE, discrimination issues, and litigation. Furthermore, in 2021, Anna was appointed as an Employment Judge for the Southwest region, making her the second Judge in Fieldfisher’s UK employment practice.

Anna’s experience includes acting on the employment and TUPE aspects of the sale of a large national retailer, which was subject to CMA approval; successfully defending a whistleblowing claim brought by a CEO, which included proving that an alleged written protected disclosure was fabricated and securing a strike out of multiple allegations of pregnancy discrimination at preliminary hearing.

Beyond her legal endeavours, Anna is an advocate of social mobility and is a trustee of The Project, a prevention of homelessness charity in South Birmingham. Anna is also a school governor.

Fieldfisher’s Birmingham office is an integral part of the wider European network known for specialist litigation and business transformation.
