After wandering the vibrant streets of Bombay, sampling over 650 dishes, and soaking up fresh inspiration, Dishoom’s founders have unveiled a brand-new menu across all cafés.

Shamil and Kavi Thakrar, founders of Dishoom, share: “Changing the Dishoom menu is a big deal for us. Our recipes are true labours of love — they take months, sometimes years, to perfect. It’s never easy to say goodbye to any of them! But Bombay is a constantly evolving city, with fresh influences each time we visit. So, with ideas bursting from our latest research trip, now feels like the right moment to mix things up. We’re incredibly proud of these new dishes and can’t wait for you to try them.”

FOOD

The refreshed menu includes exciting additions from small plates and rolls to curries and grills — while the iconic favourites are here to stay.

Goan Monkfish Curry

Bombay’s Goan community inspired the new Goan Monkfish Curry: tender monkfish in a tangy hot and sour sauce, contrasting the signature creamy Chicken Ruby and Black Daal. Another addition, the Fish Amritsari, offers golden, crispy bites with a hint of spice, perfect with a cooling green chutney. Each café will also feature a new exclusive dish: Methi Lamb Gosht with Paratha at Carnaby and Rara Gosht with Roomali Roti at Shoreditch and Birmingham. The Methi Lamb Gosht is deeply rich and savoury, while the Rara Gosht — a favourite of Chef Arun’s — features tender lamb shank and minced lamb in a luscious, spicy gravy.

Fish Amritsari

Even classic dishes have been reimagined. The Up-to-date Pau Bhaji now boasts a chunkier texture, and the New Keema Pau is inspired by the Olympia Cafe, with spicier, more aromatic flavours. Meanwhile, the breakfast menu now includes Chole Puri Halwa, a Punjabi classic with chickpeas and a giant puri, bringing an authentic Desi start to the day.

DRINKS

Dishoom’s daru-wallas have also curated over 23 new cocktails to reflect Bombay’s rich, vibrant history. Highlights include the Bombay Bellini — a tropical twist on the classic with mango and guava syrup — and the Dhoble — a sneaky sip featuring orange and lemon juices concealing vodka, jaggery, and a touch of bitters.
