Derby-based IT solutions provider Infuse Technology is celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Technical Training Mentor Ian Taylor joining the firm.
The company marked Ian’s two-decade milestone with a surprise party, which saw his colleagues come together to celebrate Ian’s contribution to the team and firm with a buffet, cake and gifts.
Ian started working on the IT helpdesk at Infuse (then Smith Cooper IT) in 2004. He was promoted to Service Master in 2014 and has most recently taken on the role of Technical Training Mentor, where he oversees the coaching of the company’s apprentices, supporting and guiding them through their on-the-job training.
Outside of work, Ian is a huge Derby County fan, so it helps that Pride Park is just a stone’s throw away from the Infuse office at Prospect House. He is also an avid gamer, particularly Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft.

Ian commented: “My past 20 years at Infuse have been special. I have met so many people and handled so many different cases. As the years have passed, I have become the IT version of AMA (ask me anything). I am a resource for anyone to call on when needed and I guide the apprentices through their on-the-job training, which I love doing.
“I have so many good memories of working at Infuse and I have loved working here for the past two decades. I look forward to many more years to come and I would like to thank Paul and the Infuse team for their continual support.”
