Birmingham-based B Corp four-day week environmental consultancy Tyler Grange has been named amongst the Best Medium-sized Organisations in the UK in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024 list.
Devised from analysis of 50,000 organisations globally, the annual accolade measures several areas relating to employee satisfaction. Those companies that perform best in The Sunday Times list have lower staff turnover, lower sick absences, and higher levels of productivity.
The list is compiled from responses to survey questions developed by behavioural scientists, data analysts, psychologists, business leaders, academics, and other independent parties, to monitor employee engagement, wellbeing and discretionary effort most accurately.
To be successfully accredited as a Best Place to Work, organisations must achieve a minimum 70% overall engagement score and universally achieve high marks on attributes including inclusivity, sustainability, and retention.
The Hockley-based consultancy’s listing highlights its culture and the significant ongoing investment made by the firm to attract, retain and reward the very best talent.
Also celebrated is the four-day week it operates – with no loss of salary or benefits – as well as its in-house clinical psychologist, resilience consultant, mindfulness coach and mentors, and the cost of counselling sessions is also covered by the firm. Employees volunteer for causes close to their hearts on many of their Friday’s off. From brewing its own low-carbon beer to providing an internal gifting platform, Tyler Grange has enjoyment at its core.
