Director of Digital Technologies appointed at Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has appointed Amanda Neylon as Director of Digital Technologies.

Amanda joins NTU from Versus Arthritis where she was Director of Insight, Data and Technology, implementing cutting-edge technology and use of data to help support people with arthritis.

She brings with her a wealth of digital and IT leadership experience in the Health, Police and Charitable sector through previous roles as Director of Urgent and Emergency Care at NHS Digital, Head of Digital at Macmillan Cancer Support and Head of Digital Communications at the Metropolitan Police.

As well as leading on digital in large, complex, customer focused organisations, Amanda has also led and delivered significant digital transformation and innovation projects.

Upon joining NTU, Amanda will be responsible for implementing the digital aspects of University’s ambitious strategic plan, which is to reimagine the University of the Future.

Commenting on her appointment, Amanda said: “I’m honoured to be joining NTU at such an exciting time and to be able to drive forward on its digital transformation plans. NTU is a university that wants to push boundaries and I’m thrilled to be integral to achieving its ambitions”.

Steve Denton, Chief Operating Officer and Registrar at Nottingham Trent University, said: “Our ambition is to be the most digitally sophisticated university in the UK, which requires great digital leadership. I was impressed by Amanda’s experience and expertise in helping large organisations use digital to drive transformation. I am delighted that she has agreed to join NTU and look forward to welcoming her as our Director of Digital Technologies in July.”
