Global real estate firm Avison Young has announced the promotion of Joe Williams to Director in its Birmingham office. His promotion comes two years after joining the firm.

With over a decade of experience in the Midlands market, specialising in land and development agency, consultancy and valuation work, Joe sits within the Place Transactions team, providing a market-leading service to public and private sector clients in the residential sector.

Avison Young’s Birmingham team operates across both the West and East Midlands areas, and recently won Deal of the Year at the 2024 Residential Insider Property Awards for the sale of Canalside South in Wolverhampton.

Other key regional projects for the office include Paradise Birmingham, Arden Cross, and the ongoing regeneration of both Derby City Centre and the Ladywood district of Birmingham.

Earlier this year, Avison Young announced the promotion of over 50 team members across the UK to Associate Director and Director levels, including in Birmingham, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and dedication to the growth of the firm across the UK regions.

In his new role as Director, Joe will support Avison Young’s Birmingham office to continue to provide a first-class service for clients, while growing the team and working closely with colleagues to drive forward the delivery of the firm’s strategic objectives.

David Martin, Regional Managing Director for Birmingham at Avison Young UK, said:
“Joe’s promotion to Director is a clear testament to his hard work. His years of experience in land and development have made him an asset to the team, and he has been instrumental in the delivery of great results for our clients. I look forward to working closely with Joe in his new role – and to bringing new talent into the team to enable the continued growth of the business.”

Joe Williams, Director at Avison Young UK, added:

“I’ve had a fantastic couple of years with Avison Young in Birmingham and I’m very pleased to be stepping into this new role and continuing our great work. There’s a lot of optimism in the Midlands market at the moment and, in partnership with my colleagues, I’ll be focused on delivering an unparalleled service for our clients as we move into the second half of the year.”
